Day 19 - a talent of yours.
I don’t really think of this as a
talent... it is who I am... very organized. Everything has it’s place,
in it’s order and there is no reason for anything to ever go missing as
long as you put it back where you found it!
I thrive on:
straight lines,
colour coordination,
even spacing and even numbers,
chronological order,
alphabetization.
Throughout college and university my
friends used to “play” with me by going into my room while I was out to
move my trinkets or move an article of clothing from one place to
another in my closet. They would get a huge kick out of seeing me go
into my room, notice right away and start moving everything back to
where it belonged.
After Andrew and I moved in together I
began to relax a little. It is not as easy to be as anal retentive
about things when you are sharing your space. He admitted to me months
later that he was relieved that I had loosened up as my crazy
organization and neatness was something he was afraid to live with!
And then came the kiddos... I can’t
keep up and some days I just don’t have the energy however I keep
trying! And I keep plugging into their little heads that everything has a
place and that is where is should be when they are done with it!
And I owe thanks to my mom for molding me in the crazy Monica-like woman that I am! ;)
